Every class at CVDA Newberg and McMinnville will participate in the Annual Showcase. The exceptions are technique classes, adult classes (these are optional participation), 6 week session classes, Mommy/Me classes, and lower level pointe classes.
*NOTE* We are encouraging instructors of int/adv and adv level classes to choose you-provide to reduce the overall costume cost for families taking multiple classes.
The Annual Showcase is held the last full week of May, including the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend.
Every dancer listed in the performing classes is required to purchase a costume and perform in the annual showcase.
Over the years we have tried many different methods of costuming dancers for the annual showcase. Finally, after much research and feedback, we have settled on the following format. A flat cost for costumes based on age and level. We make an effort to purchase costumes that are re-usable or low-cost. After comparing our rates to other studios, we are lower than the average dance studio that purchases costumes each year vs. renting costumes to dancers. We are proud to use a local businesses for hip hop classes’ costumes.
