CVDA is expanding our offerings this year to better serve our market. We are excited to offer a brand new class this fall at our Newberg and McMinnville studios, “Showtime.”
Showtime is an inclusive performance class ideal for new or non-dancers. All levels are welcome and no dance or vocal experience is necessary.
If you like performing and high-energy recreation, give Showtime a try! There will be great variety: theme starters, improvisational techniques, stage movement, voice training, audition preparation, are just a few of the activities this dynamic class will cover.
There are two classes, one for ages 8 and under, Fridays 4:00-5:00, and one for 9 and up, Fridays 5:00-6:00 at our Newberg studio and one for ages 5 – 10 Tuesdays from 4:00 – 4:45pm at our McMinnville studio.
Students will learn the basics of acting, singing, and movement for a true theater prep class, along with building confidence and having a lot of fun. The Showtime classes will perform in the CVDA Annual Showcase next spring.
Showtime kicks off on Tuesday September 15th in McMinnville and Friday, September 18th in Newberg. Instructor Courtney Joel brings extensive theater, singing, dancing and performing experience. Learn more about Courtney here.
