Tuition Policies
- All classes run September 11, 2023 – May 19, 2024
- Tuition is calculated based on the dancer’s total hours per week and paid in 9 equal payments, which will be auto-ran on the 1st of September and on the 1st each month thereafter unless paid prior to the date listed.
- There is a 3 day grace period, which ends the 4th of each month, then a $25 late fee will be assessed and applied to your account.
- Any dancer with an account 60 days in arrears will not be allowed to participate in any classes until the back due amount is paid in full. Payment plans can be negotiated.
- We do not adjust tuition for absences. Dancers can choose to make up their absences in other classes on the weeks that they are present in the same style of dance, in any level at or below their placement; with instructor permission they may take a level above within 30 days of the absence.
- Dancers are enrolled and families are responsible for tuition, costumes, and other fees until they are withdrawn by a parent or guardian by filling out this form.
- If you choose to change your enrollment status or class schedule, you must fill out this change in enrollment form. That will kick start the 30 day change in enrollment policy. Tuition will be recalculated as of the 31st day going forward whether it is an adjustment or a drop. This includes adjustments and changes in classes based on class sizes / scheduling availability.
- SIBLINGS get a 10% discount (when total hours taken weekly are under the unlimited amount) calculated by the office staff. Siblings are calculated separately, then totaled for the family bill. The discount is applied to the lesser of the tuition amounts.
- Adult and College Students operate on a different tuition scale, please see below standard tuition calculator.
- One discount per student (no college and family rate, no boy and family rate etc)
- Classes that do not meet the required minimum enrollment of dancers (specific to location and instructor) will be canceled and combined with another class. Dancers will have multiple options for a different class.
- Camps, events, master classes, and intensives are not part of monthly tuition discounts
- We reserve the right to transition to virtual classes only at any time per government regulation or staffavailability
- There is an annual registration fee of $45 for the first student and $15 for additional students with a $75 family cap– this is billed only for our Fall-Spring session, no registration fee will be applied for summer.
- Unlimited dancers must have their intended schedule approved by faculty in order to participate in classes.
- Company dancers must have tuition paid to date in order to participate in required and/or optional competitions.
General Policies
- Dancer placement is based on CVDA’s program levels, requirements and pre-requisites. All dancers spend at least 1 year in beginning levels, 2 or more years in intermediate, and many years in advanced, all at the placement of our instructors.
- Dancers who are late to class are encouraged to apologize to the instructor after class.
- Dancers must follow the dress code and have appropriate footwear, Dancewear, hair back in a pony tail, and a reusable water bottle.
- Dancers must adhere to the personal space and hygiene expectations of class. This means hands to ourselves and not touching others regardless of the relationship between dancers (siblings/cousins/friends). Dancers who do not follow this rule will be given a warning in class, then sent an email home to parent and finally asked to pause attendance until they can follow that rule.
- Our lobbies are spaces we reserve for our dancers in between classes doing homework, having a snack or eating dinner.
- Dancers under the age of 11 are not allowed to be in the lobby longer than 5 minutes (unless they are in our Company Program).
- We ask that parents drop off and pick up dancers but generally do not hang out or camp in our lobby. We do not have public wifi.
- With the exception of Parent Sneak Peek Weeks and Parent Participation Weeks, spectators/parents are not allowed inside the dance training space (virtual or in-person). Dancers attend class independently.
- Dancers wishing to participate in optional events such as master classes and competition must be caught up on tuition before they can enroll in the optional activities. Company dancers have one exception and that will be explained under Company policies.
- Private lessons are paid to the studio directly in advance of the lesson and are scheduled with individual instructors at a rate of $2/minute for all instructors (except guest instructors). Please email the office for this request.
- All choreography is property of CVDA. If you would like to perform any of the choreography learned, you must get permission from the instructor and give credit where it is due upon the performance.
- Please inform the instructor and the office if there are any new medical problems that we should be aware of. Please also call the studio and, if possible, inform the instructor if there are any deaths in the family or other issues that we should be aware of when working with your dancer. Dancers with symptoms of COVID-19 should notify the office immediately and cease training until the currently recommended quarantine period has passed.
- Age placements are based on age as of October 31st for Fall/Spring sessions and July 31st for summer session.
- In the event that class options change due to local, state, or federal restrictions, tuition will be adjusted for the upcoming billing period to reflect the training options available, at which time families can determine to implement a 30 day change in enrollment form. Note: tuition is the same regardless of in-person or virtual training.

What Our Clients Say:
This place is amazing! Every time I pick my daughter up she always screams "I want to go again, it's so much fun mommy!" Whenever I have a question it gets answered so fast and the info is always so helpful, the instructors are so friendly, and I know my children are safe here! Thank you CVDA!!!
"Dance skills are life skills"! We have been a part of the CVDA dance family for 5 years. We chose this for our daughter over school sports and we have no regrets. The teachers are well trained, attentive, kind, and positive. Our daughter has excelled in many areas in and outside of dance. This is largely a result of the opportunities she has had and the amazing role models (teachers and staff) at CVDA. Dance skills really are life skills.
It has been such a positive outlet for my kiddos, and gave them something to look forward to every week, even during the shutdown. I have been so impressed with the passion all the instructors pour into each and every class.
It's hard to put into words how amazing this dance studio is. They don't only teach dance at CVDA, Kristen and her team teach their students life skills like respect, confidence and how to give back to the community. We started our daughter in ballet when she was 5. It was amazing to watch our very timid shy daughter go into her beginners ballet class and come out with her head held high and a smile from ear to ear!
We found our home and second family. Each girl is ushered in and apart of a community that becomes family. The skills learned are way more than just dance related.
CVDA may be a dance studio, but what it excels at most of all is being an example of what it means for a business to exhibit virtue. That's not to say they don't have excellent training, they do - the instructors are talented, patient, and dedicated, and they have the trophies to prove it. Yet when you sign up for classes at CVDA, Kristen (owner) doesn't promise awards and scholarships, she promises your child will learn the skills necessary to be a positive, productive human being. Or as she puts it, "dance skills are life skills". As one example, they model positive contribution by actively serving and fundraising for the community every year.
