We are thrilled to have Michelle Berg, CVDA Alumna, as our interim tumbling instructor! While we will miss Beth, we are excited to work hard for Miss Michelle!
My name is Michelle Berg, I grew up in Newberg, OR. I have a dance, gymnastics, and cheerleading background. I was a member of the performing company here at Chehalem Valley Dance Academy all three years of middle school and did gymnastics at a few gyms around the area for 6 years. I then chose to switch gears to combine both my talents and begin cheerleading at Newberg High School where I was on the Varsity team for four years coached under my amazing mother, Lisa Berg. Also during high school I was a member of the all star cheerleading gym Oregon Dream Teams where I was on their Senior Level 5 team and competed in the Cheerleading Worlds three years in a row. After high school I made the National Cheerleaders Association Staff and taught high school cheerleading camps all over the west for three years. I made the University of Oregon Cheerleading’s dance team in 2009 where I was a dancer for four years and captain my senior year. In that time I performed at four BCS bowl games and traveled all over the country to cheer on my favorite team, the Oregon Ducks. When I wasn’t in class or in Autzen, my junior and senior year I coached Marist Catholic High School’s Varsity cheerleading team. I was recruited my senior year of college by the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders and auditioned for their team in 2013 and 2014, making it to finals both times. I graduated from the University of Oregon with a Bachelor of Science in Sociology and I’m currently the University of Oregon Cheerleading’s dance coach. I have a passion for dance, cheerleading and gymnastics and I’m very excited to work here at my old dance studio that was the foundation to all of my achievements!
