Jump 2022 Recap

This past weekend was packed with dancing! We attended our first convention as a whole company since March of 2020. We had many new convention-goers have their eyes opened to the dance overload awesomeness that these weekends bring. Up early for five classes a day followed up by competitions means lots of caffeine, little sleep, and tons of memories. I am particularly proud of our dancers for choosing to be brave, focused, and hard working. I am thankful to our parents for making it all happen and supporting each other by filling in the gaps and spending time together. Our instructors on-site had a great time watching the dancers in action learning and performing. These events really clue us in to what adjustments can be made to better train our dancers as a whole. This Jump was also bittersweet as it was our last with Lillie, Emma, and Sophie, our graduating seniors. We discussed in weeks leading up to this event that our experience should be determined by our time spent in class and on stage and not on the results. Those are bonuses and are not to eclipse the weekend as a whole. We are hopeful that our families and dancers are holding onto this and making it the value determiner of the time, money, and energy spent.
